Commercial Use

These maps are available for personal use, but you need to contact me if you wish to licence existing them for commercial use, or commission new maps.

Licencing Existing Maps:
All of the maps featured in the portfolio above (except those that are specifically listed as unavailable for commercial use) can be licenced in one of two ways:
-Single-use: $5, one commercial project, only the maps that were released at the time of the licencing
-Lifetime-use: $30, any number of commercial projects, and including any map added in the future.

In either case, licencing comes with the following caveats:
-Attribution: You must credit “Trekiros” in your project under “cartography”.
-Modification: You are free to modify the maps.
-Notification of use: for the lifetime-use licence, I must be notified of each commercial project where you include the maps.
-Restriction on use: I reserve the right to veto their use in one of the following cases:
-There are less than 1000 words in your publication for each battlemap used
-The maps are used in physical merchandise such as t-shirts or mugs
-You are sub-licensing, re-selling, leasing the maps
-You are using the maps as part of a logo, trademark or identity
-Your publication promotes racism, homophobia, transphobia or bigotry of any kind
By paying the licencing fee, you agree that these restrictions are fair and necessary for my business interests.
A single-use licence will be refunded if rescinded. A lifetime-use licence will not be refunded if vetoed, but you will only be prohibited from using the maps for the one project that was vetoed.

Map Commissions:
-You pay upon completion of the commissioned map, but are not allowed to use the map in any capacity until then.
-When the map is complete and payment is received, the map is available for you under the same terms as the “lifetime-use” licence above.
-I will provide whichever file versions you specify (typically: HD, HD gridded, HD printer friendly, and the source file if you own dungeondraft/inkarnate).
-Battlemap: $30
-World/City/Dungeon Map: $100 (dungeon maps are maps larger than 30×30)

Commission Extras:
-Revisions: $5 per revision beyond the first revision, which is free
-Variations: $5 per variation (e.g. winter/summer variants)
-Exclusivity: $5 so that the map is not made available for commercial use by other people
