D&D has a tradition of classifying magic items based on what they look like: weapons, armors, wands, rings, and… wondrous items (aka “everything else”, from tattoos to paintbrushes to hats)
But I find it way more useful to think of magic items in terms of what they bring to your campaign.
So in this month’s video, I give you a list of 4 “roles” that a magic item can have, and create one example magic item for each of those roles

The video also introduces Trek’s Treasure Trove, a 5e supplement of 60 magic items that you can get either as a PDF, or as a physical deck of tarot cards, that you can physically hand over the physical table, to your physical players!

You can check out the deck here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/534553/trek-s-treasure-trove?affiliate_id=2038543&src=yt-l
Until next time, have a great one!
